Barrow Gurney 2nd XI have a new captaincy team following the AGM held last weekend.
Ellie Holdaway becomes the new Captain, making her one of the few female Captains in the Bristol & District League. Ellie, who has previously captained Barrow Gurney age group sides, and who has also played for Somerset Women’s sides up to Under 17 level will be supported by Frank Forge as Vice- Captain. Mark Gracey (Captain in 2014/15) has stood down after 2 successful years leading a young side to promotion in 2015, whilst Jordan Allen also stands down to pursue his 1st Team ambitions after a successful season with the bat.
Meanwhile the 1st XI will remain under the stewardship of Phil Milton, with Mark Brown stepping up to Vice Captain, whilst Sam Turner is taking a year out with his family. The Sunday Friendly Team, with an expanded fixture list, will continue to be captained by Mark Forge.
