Somerset Cricket Foundation have awarded Josh Hall the Club Volunteer of the Month award in recognition of all that he has done for the club. Josh joined Barrow Gurney CC, having never played cricket before and has enthusiastically enjoyed playing friendly and Sunday games. However he has really thrown himself into helping out at Hobbs Lane. Known as being the tech king who arranges the livestreaming of games, he has also become the apprentice groundsman, bar manager and so much more. He spent the winter building new fencing to get the ground looking a picture for the start of the season.
Josh has also introduced new sponsors to the club which brings in much needed funds to develop the facilities at the club. It is a truly well-deserved reward and we hope it encourages others to get more involved in the club other than just playing the great game of cricket.
