Barrow’s Bernie Hits Another Ton

Bernie Forge, Barrow’s First team opener and wicket keeper, hit another century (101) for Bridgwater Ladies in the Vitality ECB Club T20 championship on Sunday to take them through to the regional finals. This was her 2nd century for Bridgwater having helped them to the Vitality ECB Plate in 2018.

Bernie was the first woman to make a hundred for Cardiff Met University in the BUCS University competition and scored her first hundred for Barrow 2s in 2016, believed to be the first century made by a woman in the Bristol & District league.

Barrow are proud to have Bernie and Ellie Holdaway playing First team cricket for the club, both of whom have played at Women’s County level and admire how they deal with a predominately male and, occasionally, albeit rarely, unwelcoming reception from opposing teams.
