St Mary Redcliffe won a close game at Hobbs Lane last Saturday off the the last ball of the game.
Barrow Gurney had batted first and posted 210-6 in their 40 overs. Openers Ed Holdaway (54, retired not out) and Jordan Allen (33) got the innings off to a good start, whilst Linden Alway (24) and Nick Heal (23) also welcomed getting some valuable time in the middle, as too did Mike York (20 not out) who was returning from a long spell of injury which kept him out of the 2024 season.
In reply Redcliffe got off to a good start which Simon Jones (51*) started to capitalise on before retiring. There were wickets for Mike York, Nick Heal and Amir Yacoob, and a couple of wickets for Connor Jones which threatened to swing the game Barrow’s way but Cleon Coleman (45 not out) and Wayne Moore (20 not out) set up an exciting finish and a win off the last ball by 4 wickets.
