Guy Fisher won the inaugural Pool League at Barrow Gurney Cricket Club.
Played over 5 weeks after the end of the cricket season, the League featured 10 players in all. Although each player played a different number of matches, as far as possible everybody played each other, and the ultimate winner was to be the one with the highest win percentage with a minimum of 5 matches.
Remarkably Guy played the highest number of games and incredibly lost only a handful to rack up an impressive 80.8% win percentage and comfortably took the title from Mark Forge (66.7%) and Jonny Sykes (57.1%). He was presented with perhaps the smallest trophy in all sport (with the possible exception of The Ashes!)
