The 2020 season was one to remember but not always for the right reasons.
Barrow Gurney lost one of its most iconic players, we lost half of the season to Coronavirus, but we made the very most of the games we had.
Ed Holdaway was outstanding with bat and ball, Bernie Forge the same opening the batting and behind the stumps too, whilst Guy Fisher continued his inexorable journey towards being Barrow’s top run-scorer in the Play Cricket era and Frank Forge continued to take wickets in devastating spells, whilst many others, often called Owen, contributed with some stellar performances. But for emotion it would be hard to beat Kian Ware’s magnificent hundred dedicated to the late Rod Reeves.
